About the event
The Oxford University Society of Washington DC warmly invites you to attend the annual OUSDC Holiday Dinner. An evening of spirited discussion awaits, ushered in by this year’s exceptional speaker.
E.J. Dionne is an internationally acclaimed author, journalist and opinion columnist for the Washington Post. He is well known for his deep and amusing insights into American politics. EJ is also a senior fellow at the Brookings Institute and a visiting professor at Georgetown and Harvard.
While these facts are “on the record”, as reporters would say, what could we learn about E.J.’s time at Oxford and perhaps Harvard? How do the students there compare? This year marks the 50th anniversary of his graduation from Harvard and matriculation at Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar.
E.J. will be introduced at the dinner by a fellow member of the Harvard/Radcliffe Class of 1973, kicking off the evening with a story or two from the time of anti-war protests, progressive politics and bad hair!
