About the Event

Dr. Oliver Cox (University), Heritage Engagement Fellow, Oxford, will give a talk “Prize Stallions and Beasts of Burden, the Horse, and the English Country House.” Dr. Cox will discuss the history and vital role horses played in the social, political, and cultural history of the English Country House. He will also discuss horses and Royal Patronage from James I to Elizabeth II. Resgistraion for this event is through the Lyceum, Alexandria History Museum.
