Our Story
What We Do
Who We Are
The University of Oxford Society has been supporting and serving the university's alumni in the Washington, D.C. area in one form or another for years. Now a fully chartered chapter of Oxford Alumni Community the OUS- DC is focused on providing events and forums for our alumni to foster life long learning and friendships.
Our mission is to foster a community of local alumni of the University of Oxford in Washington D.C. On this website, you will find details of our events that include socials, speaker series, school and university outreach, and other activities. Our goal is to provide a community where established D.C. residents and new transplants to D.C. can join together to make new professional connections and friendships.
Furthermore, we encourage Oxonians to consider serving on the OUSDC Board. It is a chance to contribute to our Chapter in an important and meaningful way. We are actively looking for additional board members.
The society is administered through a governing board and constitution. Officers and Directors are required to be a member of the chapter; anyone who matriculated at Oxford or has a "strong connection" such as a tutor, lecturer, or visiting fellow and reside in the Metropolitan Washington Area.
